Join us at tonight at Denver’s Bluebird Theater for an evening of heavy electro hip-hop breaks courtesy of Jennifer Lee, the relentless beat-maker alias TOKiMONSTA, as she makes a stop on her Fovere Tour.
Lee has been widely hailed as a pioneering female in the hip-hop/breaks genre, (although I prefer to consider her a pioneer sans the female) having been the first woman signed to Brainfeeder, in 2010, after her early productions caught the ear of label head Flying Lotus. With the pressing of her debut LP, “Midnight Menu” on Brainfeeder, TOKiMONSTA secured herself national renown and exclusive touring with some of the largest names in the industry, including a run with Skrillex, Grimes, KOAN Sound, and others on 2012’s Full Flex Express.
